Alan Mitchell, the principal of Ardoch Guides, has worked in tourism for over 20 years; much of this time spent in organising tours in Scotland, and has travelled extensively at home and abroad.
He has walked across Scotland four times (different routes!) and completed the ascent of all of Scotland's mountains over 3,000 feet. These activities have given him a unique perspective of his country, emphasising the link between geography and man's place in the landscape.
He is particularly adept at introducing small parties of family and friends to some of the less accessible corners of Scotland.
